“The one & the many” is an earthly incarnation of the Platonic form. To him and us, “the “form” is not only a mathematical or geometrical idea of perfection but also political and social. In our artwork, 942 multi-faceted cells, with distinctive and seemingly contradicting shapes, join to form a cohesive unity.
It echos our interpretation of “To gather” neither as a blind surrender to framework-emphasizing structuralism nor a mindless celebration of individualism. it is a balance of both, intricate and seemingly simplistic.
"The one & the many"，是尘世对柏拉图理型的又一拙劣模仿。对他和我们来说，理型代表的不光是数学和几何概念上的完美，也是社会架构和政治概念上的完美。我们的作品中，942个完全不同且看似冲突的多面体个体聚集产生结构自洽的整体圆环。
它回应了我们对竞赛主题“聚”的理解，“聚”既不是对强调框架的结构主义的盲目屈从，也非对个人主义的无脑崇拜。它是两者的平衡。我们的作品呈现的一样，看似极简，实则丰富且知性。
